Séadna continues to visit Diarmaid, who gradually recovers.
People say it is a good thing that Sadhbh isn't there, or he'd never recover. But Diarmaid thinks the opposite. He's worried about her. Soon he's back to himself. He's lost a lot of weight.
A strange woman comes to his house. She's disfigured - has only one eye - and prophecies to Diarmaid. And not about good things! She says she's come all the way from Ulster to see him. Diarmaid pays her, desiring to know more. She leaves, just as mysterious as when she came.
The girls discuss the woman, and Neill Ní Buarchalla (Cáit tells her story). Other stories about spirits, too (Nora tells one).
